The Sisters of St. Joseph of Tarbes is indeed an inspiring Congregation with a rich history rooted in service and dedication to the community. Founded in France in 1843 by six young women, the Congregation has focused on Education, Healthcare, and Social services, particularly for marginalized populations.

Their establishment in Uganda in 2002 marks a significant expansion of their mission, aimed at addressing the needs of the poor and vulnerable in society. Through various initiatives, the Sisters work to promote education, provide health services, and support community development, fostering a spirit of compassion and service. Their commitment to love and serve reflects their foundational values and continues to guide their work today.

We are involved in Apostolate works such as:

  •   Teaching (education),
  • Catechetical work
